These are real teens who don’t always behave as good girls should. I read plenty of wknd first installments, and it’s those that make me want to continue a series. My only hope is that when I do read the second installment of the series, the characters actually become much interesting.

I repeat, a fantastic book better than holder’s but I was looking for baefire more original. It is a hundred and some odd pages before they even meet for the first time – which, for being such a big plot grabber, is a bit too long. This won’t sit on the shelf long.
I went to school in New York, and after school went back to New Orleans. Both never knew that the other existed until now.

I seriously debated putting it down and forgetting about the whole thing, but having bought all four books in this series in a bind up, I felt it would be a foolish decision. The story revolves around Thais Allard and Clio Martin, identical twins separated at birth under strange and mysterious circumstances.

Basically, give the book a chance and expect the baalefire book to be a little slow. Overall the character development was strong, the plot moving and the Magic compelling.

Book Twelve Sweep 12 Kindle Edition. One complaint is the somewhat rushed ending — Tiernan had planned a 15 book series, but low sales required it to end at four. The only downside is that the alternating narratives make the plot much more slow going than I wanted it to be. Not that having similar things makes it a bad or copycat series- it just makes it an almost guaranteed thing that fans of Sweep will like this book.
However, because I do have the next 3, I will continue with the series in the hope it improves.

I was shocked to learn that this interesting character was dating both Clio and Thais and lying to them both.
Deswegen werde ich dem zweiten Band der Reihe “Hexenflammen” wohl auch eine Chance geben. I had every reason too, but it suffered too much from it’s placement as a first book in a long series, particularly as one with a different narrative set-up.
A Chalice of Wind 1 Balefire. However it picked up and after that I was cruising through it. But never-the-less, Balegire will trust you Tiernan, I will keep reading. This is mostly due to the narrative structure again. I feel like I’m standing on the edge of a cliff, and something huge is about to push me off, down into an unknown world.
