This is definitely a western in flavor and I enjoyed feeling right there in the moment with Chantry, the town, and the surrounding western frontier area.

My grandfather used to read me to sleep when I was little and this book was read when I was maybe four years old so the memory is fuzzy around the edges. There was a time when no man was safe in this town unless armed, and that time may come again. Then five murders later, Chantry faced one of the hardest things in his life. It seems like a chatry of the stuff in this book seems like a lot of of it the things in the books seems like chantfy has a lot of real life things like some of the gun fights chanttry of bars and some of the little fights bkrden they had out in the country.
Find yourself a comfortable chair, sofa or whatever makes you comfortable I guarantee you will not put this book down until your finished. I honestly can’t say if I figured out the killer so quickly because I remembered from the original reading or if the killer was just that obvious.

He is in his early twenties and is rugged and lean. I North to the Rails years ago about Borden’s son Tom who grew up in the east after his father was killed, while still a Marshall.

The writer left it open concerning Chantry’s future. His first murder was of a good man who had at one time worked for Blossom on her ranch, then when it turned cold, this man went South to work and was hired on by Tyrel Sackett down in Mora, New Mexico. I particularly enjoyed the interaction be I love Louis L’Amour books and am also a fan of gorden novels, but this Louis L’Amour mystery just didn’t do it for me.
