Gypsy Lady (Louisiana #1) by Shirlee Busbee

I have read “Decesive not my Heart” and “The Tiger Lily” by Busbee, and now i have finished reading the classical romance novel “Gypsy Lady” about gypsj hotblooded wild Jason Savage and the stubborn spitfire Catherine. Busbee’s characters leave much to be wanting because the heroine is equally HOT tempered and not forgiving.

In other novels, the men may have some negative characteristics, but in the end I would always find them some excuses when they change. Why would such a man be written about, I don’t know? And then, why do I read them almost halfway through before throwing them down in disgust? He is one sick hero! I notice a few years ago I gave it four stars, but I’m kind of not sure I should have as the hero raped the heroine, and it was quite nasty, and he did it numerous times after he kidnapped her.

Louisiana 1 – 10 of 11 books. No eBook available Amazon. I don’t think it would hold up so well now though! I never liked the hero and by today’s standards I certainly wouldn’t really call him a hero. Catherine Tremayne and Jason Savage is a love story that hurt very much at the beginning because he was so mean and controlling, but fate brought them back together and their love grew with desire and passion which she pretty much set him straight by the end of the story.
