Paulos fills his book with examples of how we can be easily misled about numerical scale. Innumeracy opens your mind and makes you question things you have heard on television and the news. And since innumeracy still plagues the nation more than ever, it often seems the lesson has apparently not been learnt and it may still be a necessary book.


Overall a very readable book that could have a big impact if only the right people would read it. There”s nothing very tricky about it: Part of making math relevant should be getting away from pure math, but then when it is applied you can’t just ignore the factors that are not easily broken down into math.
